Yes. There's a padded laptop sleeve inside the main compartment that takes up to a 15″ machine, alongside a water bottle holder and internal pockets.

What is the base tray for?

It's a separate zipped compartment underneath the main one. Most people use it for shoes, so worn soles stay away from ironed clothes — it also works for laundry on the way home.

Can I use it as my personal item on a flight?
